SBI Clerical Exam-2014 flagged off on 19th July, 2014. The format of the
test has changed this year from paper-pencil to computer based test. The 135
minute test is being conducted in two time slots - morning and evening. It will
span over a period of five weeks, ending on 31st August, 2014. 1 mark will be
awarded for every correct answer while 1/4th marks will be deducted for every
incorrect answer.

General Awareness
The section was dominated by questions on general knowledge. There were about 8 to 10 questions from basic banking awareness that the candidates would not have found difficult to attempt. All in all, this section was easy - moderate.

This section was largely on expected lines except the five questions on sentence based synonyms, which featured in this year’s exam. There was a passage with 10 questions based on an excerpt from a fiction. Then there were five questions each on Para Jumbles, Spot the Error and Fill in the Blanks which were mostly easy.

Knowledge and Marketing Aptitude with 20 questions from each of the area. The
questions on Computer Knowledge were easier than that of Marketing Aptitude.
Another thing to note is that the questions from the two areas were not
segregated but were arranged alternately.
