The State Bank of India conducted on-line examination for the very first time, for the recruitment of Probationary Officer, across
the country on the 14th June 2014.
Please find below the analysis of 5th July 2014.
There were 200 questions in the objective paper,
which had to be answered in 120 minutes and the descriptive paper, which had to
be answered in 60 minutes. There were four sections in all - Reasoning, Data
Interpretation, English Language and General Awareness + Computer Knowledge +
Marketing Awareness. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the
marks assigned to that question for all the sections.
Overall the
examination was Difficult. The questions in Numerical Ability, Reasoning and
English were a bit lengthy and Time consuming. That’s exactly the point where
results might make a difference. Computer Knowledge, Marketing Awareness and
