Cube Root Of A Number.

hi friends, here is a method to calculate the cube root of a number.
The first and the most important step is to memorize the cubes of 1 to 9

1 –> 1
2 –> 8
3 –> 27
4 –> 64
5 –> 125
6 –> 216
7 –> 343
8 –> 512
9 –> 729

Once you memorize this list, the next step is to remember the last digit (unit digit) of each of these cubes. Here is the list again, only with unit digits this time

1 –> 1
2 –> 8
3 –> 7
4 –> 4
5 –> 5
6 –> 6
7 –> 3
8 –> 2
9 –> 9

EX: find the cube root of 50653
The first step is to divide the number into 2 parts by separating the last 3 digits. So, we get 50 & 563 as the two parts of the number.

Now, take the first part and find the largest cube contained in the first part i.e. in 50 = 27 (which is the cube of 3). The next cube i.e. 64 (cube of 4) is larger than 50. Now, as 27 is the cube of 3, your ten’s part of cube root would be 3.

The next step is to take the last digit of the number, which in this case is 3. Which number’s cube had 3 as the unit digit? 7… right?? (7*7*7=343) Hence, 7 is the unit digit of your solution

so your answer is 37.

2) Calculate the cube root of 941192.
By Step 1 —– We get two parts i.e. 941 and 192.
By Step 2 —– The largest cube less than 941 is 729 (cube of 9). So, ten’s digit is 9.
By Step 3 —– The ending digit is 2. Hence, unit’s digit is 8. That’s it. 98 is the answer.

How to fill preferences in IBPS PO – 4?

Hello Readers,
In view of the continuous queries on "How to fill Preference in IBPS PO 2014", here we are presenting you the required post. Please go through the post sincerely and decide for yourself!! Hope it helps!!

It is based on following facts—

Based on Headquarters of the banks-
Based on headquarters you can choose your preference as you can have an idea of your future postings. Banks such as Syndicate, Andhra have a good customer base in Southern part of India, So if you are a south guy you can choose your preferences accordingly, similarly is the case with United bank of India which have its root and strong hold in the eastern territory.

Who should keep these facts in mind-
·        If you are a girl and want to get posted in nearby your time consider this point in mind.
·        If you are preparing for other exams, such as SSC, Civil services and CAT,and want to be in a familiar place to concentrate on your ultimate option you should keep this fact in mind.

HeadQarter and Banks

Delhi—Punjab National bank, Pubjab and sindh Bank,  Bhartiya Mahila Bank,  Oriental Bank Of Commerce(Gurgaon),

Mumbai—ECGC, Bank Of India, Union bank Of India,  IDBI, Central Bank Of India,Dena Bank

Bangalore – Canara Bank, Vijaya Bank, Syndicate Bank(Manipal), Corporation Bank(Manglore)
Kolkata – United Bank Of India, Allhabad Bank,UCO Bank

Pune  --   Bank Of Maharashtra

Chennai—Indan Oversease Bank,  Indian Bank

Hyderabad – Andhra Bank

Banks and their Headquarters

Based on the area of your choice-
If you want to get posted exclusively in metro cities you should go only for banks such as ECGC, Bhartiya mahila Bank, IDBI etc. And if you are OK wth any other postings in B,C level cities you can choose other options, though one thing has to keep in mind as there are limited vacancies in these banks so you have to be among the toppers to get your preference.

On the basis of number of branches :
This should be the first factor that you need to concentrate on. A bigger bank has more number of branches and vice-versa. A bank with more number of branches will have more number of employees. And more number of employees and branches means there will be more number of vacancies. Also the chances of promotions will be more in the banks which has more branches as compared to a bank which have lesser branches.

Ranking of banks on the basis of the number of branches

On the basis of net profit of the banks :
You can also choose the bank on the basis of net profit , a bank which is enjoying a good run will have a sound goodwill in the market and will eventually help a newcomer like you in working smoothly and with quick results as well.

Ranking Of banks On TheBasisOfBankNetProfit
Punjab National Bank
Bank of Baroda
Canara Bank
IDBI
Union Bank Of India

At the end It is your personal choice:
Most of the PSU Banks (under IBPS) offer similar kind of salary structure and also follow a similar kind of promotion policy (except few employee favourable policies of Punjab National bank & Bank of Baroda). So, which bank is good for me, is basically a personal choice.
