The State Bank of India conducted online examination for the very first time, for the recruitment of Probationary Officer, across the country on the 14th June 2014. Please find below the analysis of today's morning paper.
There were 200 questions in the objective paper, which had to be answered in 120 minutes and the descriptive paper, which had to be answered in 60 minutes. There were four sections in all - Reasoning, Data Interpretation, English Language and General Awareness + Computer Knowledge + Marketing Awareness. Other than the fourth section, where in a candidate had to attempt the section in English Language, all the other sections were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question had 5 options. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question for all the sections.
Overall the examination was Moderate. The questions in Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English were a bit lengthy and Time consuming. That’s exactly the point where results might make a difference. Computer Knowledge, Marketing Awareness and General Awareness sections were easy.
